Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Software Test Engineer III with a strong background in quality strategy and testing best practices. You will drive QA for Toshiba’s POS solutions in the retail market and mentor junior engineers.

Located near the Raleigh-Durham area, you will collaborate with product and development teams, translate requirements into test scenarios, and help define test coverage and processes across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in software test engineering.
• Strong understanding of software test methodologies and quality strategy.
• Experience in agile SDLC and agile project management tools.
• Basic programming skills in Java.
• Basic understanding of Linux commands and filesystem.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with test management to implement quality improvement processes and ensure test coverage.
• Identify testing gaps and advise on improvement plans.
• Setup test environments and manage equipment.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and define test coverage from requirements.
• Analyze, design, execute, and report test cases and defects.
• Provide status, risks, and mitigation plans to leads.
• Create documentation for test initiatives and traceability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
