Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Software Test Engineer III with a strong background in quality strategy and testing best practices. The STE drives QA for Toshiba’s POS solutions in the retail marketplace, leading technical test guidance and translating customer requirements into robust test scenarios for verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering; or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of software test methodologies and quality strategy
• 5+ years' experience in software test engineering
• Experience with test coverage analysis, test execution, and defect management
• Participation in agile SDLC; usage of agile project management tools
• Basic understanding of Linux commands
• Effective verbal and written communication; able to read, write, and speak English proficiently

Responsibilities

• Work with test management to implement and maintain quality improvement processes and ensure proper test coverage.
• Maintain awareness of industry process, practices, and technology developments to enhance testing and tooling.
• Provide test estimates for system setup, configuration, test case creation, and execution time.
• Set up test environments including hardware/software installations and manage equipment.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and translate user requirements into test coverage.
• Analyze, design, implement, and execute test cases and report defects.
• Communicate status, risks, and quality decisions to project leads and managers.
• Create documentation for test initiatives, processes, and traceability matrices.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
