Job summary

AMD is hiring a Hardware Program Manager to drive prototype board production, procurement, and distribution across APU, CPU, and GPU programs. You will own schedules and budgets, coordinating with sourcing, fulfillment, and engineering teams to ensure milestones are met.

The role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate plans and risks clearly to leadership. A PMP or formal PM education is a plus and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Formal Project Management education; PMP certification/designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive prototype hardware manufacturing, procurement, & distribution to support APU/CPU/GPU programs.
  • Work closely with sourcing and fulfillment teams to track status of deliverables to ensure program milestones and budgets are met.
  • Resolve issues as they arise to ensure smooth program execution.
  • Communicate effectively with the program team, internal customers, and leadership about plans, status, and risk mitigation.
  • Build a deep understanding of the complex hardware requirements for each program and act as a central source of information & guidance for broader teams.
  • Own the strategy for collection & management of data related to prototype hardware supply and demand using internal tools.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering & program management teams to manage technical & schedule changes.
  • Opportunity to initiate and drive process improvements initiatives to improve overall execution of programs.
