Job summary

RTX's Advanced Products & Solutions unit in McKinney, Texas seeks a Principal Engineer to serve as Hardware IPTL for a development program. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive execution, manage risks, and ensure subsystems meet contract requirements in a fast-paced environment.

This onsite role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience, EVMS/IMS/IMP familiarity, and an active Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience in program management or IPT execution within the defense industry.
• Leadership of cross-functional teams across engineering, contracts, finance and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Meet contractual commitments (financial, technical, schedule) for assigned programs.
• Report program metrics including Estimates At Complete (EAC).
• Provide technical leadership to design, develop, integrate, test and verify systems.
• Communicate status, accomplishments, issues and needs to leadership and customers.
• Contribute to program vision and execution strategies as part of the leadership team.
• Identify, manage and mitigate risks or capture opportunities.
• Mentor and guide team members; travel ~10% as needed.
