Job summary

Geater Machining and Manufacturing, Co. in Independence, IA is seeking a finishing operations teammate to mix, prepare, and apply paints and coatings to parts. You will read blueprints and specifications to determine prep needs, mask parts, select fixtures, and ensure parts meet required tolerances.

The role emphasizes accuracy in coating processes, quality control through measurements, and collaboration with the manufacturing team to maintain production flow.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Mix paints and inks to correct consistency using thinner solutions.
• Apply paints/coatings per product requirements and blueprints.
• Mask parts and prepare surfaces for finishing.
• Verify finished parts meet specifications using measuring devices.

Apply paint in accordance with product requirements. Mask parts and clean parts. Select holding fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials for proper application of paints. Verify finished parts meet specifications and blueprints using measuring devices.
