Job summary

Allegion Canada Inc. in Indianapolis invites applications for a Summer Intern - Hardware Engineering. You will help evaluate designs, troubleshoot products, and analyze test data under supervision, contributing to design reviews and project reports.

Applicants must pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering, maintain a 3.0+ GPA, and be legally eligible to work in the U.S. Familiarity with test equipment is required; IoT, Python, C, and design tools are a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or electronics engineering technology.
• Sophomore year must be complete by the start of the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale.
• Familiarity with electronics test equipment and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with circuit design projects or internships preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively evaluate engineering design performance of field returns.
• Assist in troubleshooting using structured methods.
• Test and analyze data to assess performance using 8D/ A3 problem solving.
• Learn and apply best practices with electronics test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope).
• Participate in design reviews and provide written input for reports.
• Work under supervision with clear guidelines and support.
