Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Summer Intern in Mechanical Engineering at the Hague Road Technical Center in Indianapolis, IN. You will contribute to design concepts, develop 3D models, and learn about protective electronics and access control solutions while collaborating with engineers to ensure proper processes and tooling for manufacturing parts.

You will gain hands-on experience with design reviews, engineering tools like FMEA and GD&T, and gain exposure to Creo and MS Project as part of product

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Strong interest in design, development and technical analysis.
• Ability to work in teams and take initiative.
• Leadership demonstrated in school clubs, sports or projects.

Responsibilities

• Experience developing 3D models.
• Familiarity with FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, GD&T, Tolerance Stack Analysis & DFM/DFA.
• Experience in Mechanical testing techniques.
• Use Creo, MS Project and tolerance stack templates in product development.
• Collaborate with a team to create well-rounded solutions and participate in regular meetings.
• Build a foundation for growth and future opportunities with Allegion.
