Job summary

Allegion is offering a Summer Intern - System Engineer position in Indianapolis, Indiana. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting the System Engineering team in the Locks and Access Solutions unit, contributing to design analysis and testing of system components.

As you work with experienced engineers, you will develop familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and software integration, create technical documentation, and participate in cross-functional meetings to advance project

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• Strong interest in Systems Engineering.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of system components and assemblies.
• Support the development and integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss project requirements and progress.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including system requirements, interface definitions, and system block diagrams.
• Assist in the verification of requirements and structured problem solving activities.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical issues.
