Dynamic Creatures is seeking a Hardware Engineer Lead in Cambridge, MA to drive rapid prototyping and production-ready designs across actuation, sensing, and structure. You’ll design subsystems in CAD, prototype, and validate against real-world use.
You will spec and integrate motors, sensors, and electronics, run reliability tests, and document designs with BOM/manufacturing files. This in-person role includes medical, dental, vision, and PTO benefits.

Design subsystems in CAD and take them through prototyping
Spec and integrate motors, sensors, and electronics
Run characterization and reliability tests
Document designs and contribute to BOM and manufacturing files
Must-haves:
3+ years in robotics, consumer electronics, or related hardware
Strong mechanical or electrical fundamentals (or both)
Hands-on prototyping experience (machining, 3D printing, soldering)
BS/MS in ME, EE, Robotics, or equivalent experience
Dynamic Creatures is a robotics company designing and building interactive character robots for entertainment and hospitality brands. We are creating a new category of mobile characters that move naturally through guest environments, understand the context of an interaction and respond in real time. Dynamic Creatures offers character-based experiences built on Boston Dynamics and other systems, as well as fully original robots created for a specific brand, environment or story. As Boston Dynamics’ official entertainment and hospitality partner, the company works with entertainment companies to develop guest-facing character experiences designed to feel personal, attentive, and memorable. Dynamic Creatures was co-founded by CEO Marc Theermann, former chief strategy officer at Boston Dynamics and a former senior leader at Google, and chief technology officer Farbod Farshidian, a globally recognized robotics researcher and former research leader at the Robotics and AI Institute.
This role is in-person in Cambridge, MA five days per week.
