Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Hardware Engineer II to design, test and validate next-generation server platforms for the CDN and Cloud Compute platforms.

You will develop, maintain and run test scripts to validate features, diagnose hardware issues, and collaborate with teams across engineering and manufacturing. The role requires 5 years of experience and a BS in Computer Engineering or related field, plus strong knowledge of server architectures and Linux with scripting (Bash/Python).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in hardware engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field
• Understanding of computer architecture and server hardware components

Responsabilités

• Test next-gen server hardware platforms for performance, power and reliability
• Document results, identify defects and recommend improvements
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues with internal and external teams
• Develop, maintain and enhance test scripts for hardware features
• Stay up to date with Ethernet, TCP/IP, PCIe, NVMe, DDR and GPU architectures
