Job summary

Quantiq in Chicago is hiring a Hardware Developer-New Graduate to drive the evolution of our production trading environment. You will own projects spanning the hardware and low‑level software stack, from FPGA NIC packet processing to kernel socket engineering, delivering thoughtful insights and regular updates.

Join a small, results‑driven team and collaborate with Operations and Technical staff to meet complex business needs while writing highly performant code and contributing to system

Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience in a hardware development environment.
  • Adept in Verilog, SystemVerilog, and/or VHDL, and familiar with C or C++.
  • Knowledgeable about Xilinx Vivado, FPGAs, and IPs.
  • Familiar with networking protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP.
  • Proficient in Basic Linux, including SSH.
  • Interest in writing highly performant code.
  • Excellent communication skills within a collaborative environment.
  • A degree in electrical or computer engineering, physics or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance existing hardware and low-level software infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Technical teams to meet business needs.
  • Evaluate performance of existing systems and streamline operations.
  • Write high-performance code (Verilog/VHDL and C/C++).
  • Monitor and communicate project releases across the organization.
  • Perform deep dive analysis and debugging of code.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis and testing on extensive datasets.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.

Role Description:

As a Hardware Developer-New Graduate, you will work in our Chicago office, both independently and collaboratively, to fuel the continuous advancement of our production trading environment. Your scope of responsibilities will span the entire network stack, from packet processing in FPGA NICs to PCIe crossings to kernel socket engineering.
