Job summary

Quantiq, specializing in high frequency derivatives trading, seeks a Software Developer-New Graduate for our Austin office. You will own projects spanning network packet processing, messaging specs, and financial data processing, delivering thoughtful insights with regular updates.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain systems, write performant code in C++ or Python, and contribute to production trading environment improvements.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience in a software environment.
  • Adept in Python and C++.
  • Familiar with TCP/IP and UDP networking.
  • Proficient in basic Linux, including SSH.
  • Interest in writing highly performant code.
  • Excellent communication in collaborative environments.
  • Degree in CS/CE/Math or equivalent practical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance existing infrastructure and other software systems.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Technical teams to meet business needs.
  • Evaluate performance of existing systems and streamline operations.
  • Write high-quality, highly performant code in C++ or Python.
  • Monitor and communicate project releases across the organization.
  • Perform deep dive analysis and debugging of code.
  • Conduct testing on extensive datasets.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.

Role Description

As a Software Developer-New Graduate, you will work in our Austin office, both independently and collaboratively, to fuel the continuous advancement of our production trading environment. Your responsibilities will span a range of projects, involving topics such as network packet processing, messaging specifications, and financial data processing, among others. You will own each project you work on and deliver thoughtful and articulate insights with regular updates. If the following resonates with you, we would love to welcome you to our team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance existing infrastructure and other software systems
