Job summary

AMD in San Jose is seeking motivated students for a co-op/intern role that runs full-time in hybrid or onsite settings. You will collaborate with senior engineers to develop performance verification plans, write scripts, and support regression testing across hardware and software components.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a US university Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with experience in C/C++, Python, Verilog/SystemVerilog, and Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a United States university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Strong interest in hardware/software verification and test development.
• Experience with scripting languages and basic lab equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers and designers to build and complete performance verification test plans, simulation test cases and models.
• Write scripts to track and manage compute resources using Perl/Python.
• Test regression flows using Perl/Python/MySQL/PHP to support projects.
• Review new tools and processes to improve simulation performance and team efficiency.
• Support debugging and improving test cases, models and Verilog/system Verilog coding.
• Build test platforms and perform system-level testing.
• Perform production validation tasks for integrated hardware/software functionalities.
