Job summary

Novalink Solutions LLC is seeking a Hardware-Centric IT Asset Management contractor to validate and reconcile physical IT assets across Milwaukee County facilities. The role emphasizes hands-on field verification, accurate CMDB relationships, and lifecycle processing for desktops, laptops, printers, POS devices, and other hardware.

Qualifications

• Experience with IT asset management and CMDB accuracy.
• Experience performing field verification across multiple sites.
• Ability to reconcile discrepancies between physical assets and CMDB records.
• Familiarity with ITIL-aligned hardware processes and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical walkthroughs to locate and validate IT hardware across County facilities.
• Reconcile CMDB records with actual devices; correct inaccuracies and update relationships.
• Maintain real-time asset location accuracy and document hardware movements.
• Support full lifecycle of hardware from receipt to disposition and retirement.
• Ensure proper chain-of-custody for disposed devices and data wiping where applicable.
• Collaborate with IT teams to maintain governance around hardware standards and procurement.
