Job summary

IO Datasphere, Inc. is seeking a Hardware IT Asset Management contractor in Wisconsin to maintain a complete, accurate inventory of physical assets. The role focuses on field verification, device tracking, lifecycle processes, and CMDB relationships using SDP.

You will work with the Service Operations and Infrastructure teams to ensure disciplined stewardship of desktops, laptops, printers, networking devices and other hardware across County facilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT Asset Management or asset lifecycle roles.
• Proven CMDB data accuracy and asset relationship management.
• Experience documenting ITIL-aligned processes.
• Experience with Service Desk reporting and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware discovery, validation & reconciliation.
• Track hardware physically across facilities and update records.
• Manage device lifecycle from procurement to disposal.
• Ensure CMDB accuracy of hardware relationships.
• Engage departments to raise hardware awareness and compliance.
• Assist with standards and physical compliance for hardware.
• Provide governance, refresh and replacement insights.
• Secure disposal and maintain chain-of-custody for hardware.

Description:

Our client seeks a Hardware IT Asset Management contractor. This is a hands-on operational role dedicated to our client and has a complete, accurate, and continuously validated inventory of all physical technology assets. This position focuses primarily on field verification, device tracking, hardware lifecycle processes, inventory processes and ensuring that what exists physically across County facilities is fully and precisely represented in ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus (SDP) and the CMDB.

The contractor works closely with the Service Operations Manager and team, Business Analysts, Security team, and Infrastructure teams to maintain disciplined stewardship of desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, POS equipment, networking devices, specialized operational hardware, and other embedded digital systems. This hardware-centric position establishes the physical foundation for a mature, accurate, and automated IT Asset Management program.
