Job summary

Home Carpet One is seeking a Hard Surface Coordinator to ensure tile, vinyl, and hardwood installations run smoothly from sale to completion. You will bridge sales, estimation, and subcontractors, handling purchasing, order accuracy checks, and coordination with warehouse teams.

The role is full-time at our Chicago warehouse, reporting to the Installation Manager. Collaborate with installation management, warehouse staff, and customers to deliver exceptional experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in hard surface flooring, installation, purchasing, or related operations roles.

Responsibilities

• Labor quoting: Solicit and confirm labor quotes for hard surface installations and communicate details to the sales team.
• Order review: Review sold hard surface orders, confirm details with sales and estimation, and proactively resolve potential issues before installation.
• Purchasing: Manage materials purchasing for sold hard surface orders, including claims when material arrives damaged.
• Material coordination: Monitor incoming materials, verify accuracy, and ensure all products are received, staged, and ready for installation in coordination with warehouse staff.
• Scheduling: Coordinate with subcontractors and customers to schedule hard surface installations.
• Issue resolution: Collaborate with installation management leadership and subcontractors to address escalations or jobsite issues.
