Job summary

Floor Coverings International of Cincinnati East is seeking a hands-on Production Manager/Coordinator to lead flooring installations from the field, coordinating between customers, the sales team, and installers. This role requires being on-site, in the warehouse, and on the phone each morning, with no remote work and a focus on on-time, on-budget deliveries.

You will drive job starts, schedules, materials, and quality control, while coaching the installer network and maintaining excellent

Qualifications

• Experience in flooring, construction, or home-improvement environments preferred.
• Ability to make quick, practical decisions when issues arise.
• Clear and timely communication with customers, installers, and team members.
• Excellent organization to manage multiple active jobs simultaneously.
• Maintain fairness and consistency when addressing performance issues.
• Willingness to start early and adapt to a field-based schedule.
• Reliable transportation to move between office, vendors, and sites.

Responsibilities

• Launch each job with validated scope, schedule, and crew.
• Check in with installers each morning to monitor progress.
• Walk scope and pay with installers on-site at job start.
• Track schedule adherence and adjust as needed.
• Provide ETA updates to customers and team.
• Ensure complete closure including punch lists and sign-off for additional work.
• Own repairs and rework within 10 business days of notice.
• Pull and prep materials ahead of installer pickups.
• Manage deliveries and keep warehouse organized.
• Inspect active job sites for quality, pace, and conduct.
• Address customer concerns before and after completion.
• Be calm and decisive when issues occur; resolve efficiently.
• Lead installer orientations and ongoing training.
