Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a Site Supervisor for a potential contract at Naval Station Key West, FL, to provide oversight of personnel delivering operations, logistics and maintenance support for Commander Navy Region Southeast (CNRSE).

The role requires managing contractual deliverables, directing subordinates including Coxswains, Deckhands, Boat Technicians, and a Logistics Specialist, and ensuring performance meets contract requirements.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Management, Marine Transportation or Engineering with five years of waterfront operations management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to train harbor operations and boat activities.
• Ability to guide small boat maintenance including outboard and diesel engines.
• In-depth understanding of US Coast Guard licensing requirements and manning for ship movements.
• Familiarity with ABYC and ABS standards.
• Ability to develop shipyard and ship repair work packages with specifications.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage all contract/delivery requirements and ensure timely, quality, budget-compliant deliverables.
• Supervise BOMS personnel and direct subordinates (Coxswains, Deckhands, Boat Technicians, Logistics Specialist).
• Develop objectives, plans, budgets and allocate resources to ensure performance against contractual requirements.
• Establish policy, operating instructions and guidance; set goals for subordinates.
• Drive continuous process improvement across business processes, policies and procedures.
• Hears and resolves employee complaints; issues warnings; approves/denies leave requests.
• Conduct and document quality assurance checks of maintenance/repair processes and provide written reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
