Job summary

Baltimore City Government's Harbormaster Office is seeking Community Aides to assist with the docking program at Inner Harbor, Fell’s Point, and Canton Waterfront Park. You will help coordinate vessel docking, collect docking fees, and provide world-class customer service to residents and visitors.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED (an undergraduate degree is a plus), strong organizational and communication skills, and the physical stamina to work outdoors, often standing and

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; undergraduate degree preferred.
• Experience: At least 6 months of related work with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Licenses: Valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license or equivalent; Baltimore City driver’s permit required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to boaters and visitors.
• Observe maritime safety protocols and wear issued safety equipment.
• Manage online docking reservations and vessel scheduling.
• Collect docking fees and prepare monthly usage reports.
• Answer phone and email inquiries and resolve issues for boating public.
