Job summary

Shar Music in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor to lead a hands-on team in daily warehouse operations, including picking, packing, receiving and shipping. You’ll work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate tasks, monitor workflow, and maintain organized, safe work areas.

This full-time, in-office role requires a high school diploma, warehouse or logistics experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse, distribution, logistics, or fulfillment experience required.
• Previous leadership, lead, trainer, or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment preferred.
• Proven ability to establish goals, monitor KPIs, and drive team performance.
• Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system strongly preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Music knowledge or experience working with musical instruments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with the daily direction and coordination of warehouse employees.
• Help assign work, prioritize daily tasks, and adjust staffing based on changing business needs and workload.
• Serve as a resource for warehouse employees by answering questions and guiding daily operations.
• Support onboarding and training of new warehouse employees and reinforce procedures.
• Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented warehouse culture.
• Provide feedback to the Warehouse Supervisor regarding performance and needs.
• Collaborate with team to pick, pack, receive, stock, organize, and ship merchandise.
• Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor workflow and identify bottlenecks or delays.
• Coordinate incoming shipments, inventory movement, and product storage.
