Job summary

Animal Medical Center of Austin (AMC Austin) seeks a credentialed Veterinary Technician Manager who will lead the Veterinary Technicians department while staying actively involved on the treatment floor. You will mentor staff, support surgeries, and optimize hospital operations alongside the Medical Director and Innovetive Petcare leadership.

This working manager role blends hands-on patient care with leadership, payroll, inventory, and business initiatives to promote high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (TX Eligible)
• Minimum of 3 years Veterinary Technician experience
• Previous Lead Technician, Supervisor, or Management experience preferred
• Strong technical and patient-care skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Responsibilities

• Work on the hospital floor alongside doctors, technicians, assistants, and client care team members
• Assist with surgeries and anesthesia monitoring; provide nursing care
• Mentor Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants; onboard new team members
• Support inventory management, payroll review, and staffing coverage planning
• Help drive hospital growth, client service standards, and operational efficiency
• Coordinate communication between leadership and staff and participate in leadership meetings
