Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CDL preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least eighteen years of age.

Responsibilities

• Maintain railroad track components using hand tools and heavy equipment.
• Follow federal, state, and railroad safety regulations.
• Repair and rebuild railroad track; remove and replace ties and rails; use torches, hammers, jacks and other tools.
• Inspect tools and equipment for defects and safety.
