Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (G&W) is hiring a Track Laborer to maintain, repair, and replace railroad track components in outdoor environments. You'll use hand tools and heavy equipment, follow safety regulations, and work with a certified trainer in a 24/7 schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Comply with federal, state, and railroad safety regulations.
• Follow instructions from trainer or supervisor.
• Repair and rebuild railroad track using hydraulic or hand tools.
• Remove and replace ties and rails; drive spikes; manage ballast loads.
• Inspect tools and equipment for safe condition before use.
• Operate tools and equipment including torches, hammers, jacks, rail saws.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
