Job summary

CompassX Group is seeking a senior Technical Project Manager to drive delivery for a fast-paced custom software initiative. You will partner with Operations to shape the product vision and guide engineering through development cadences, managing the backlog and releases while clearing blockers.

This hands-on role emphasizes practical execution over heavy governance, with hybrid availability in LA/OC to work on-site as needed.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience as a Technical PM/Agile Delivery Lead driving custom software development (mobile, web, or API integrations).
Strong ability to write technical specs and user stories and manage sprint boards.
Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience; able to discuss code and architecture with developers.
Willingness to test and validate builds on physical hardware/endpoints as part of release processes.

Responsibilities

Lead daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release tracking for a dedicated software team.
Translate product goals into technical tickets with clear acceptance criteria.
Unblock engineers and maintain team productivity by resolving blockers.
Perform hands-on release validation by testing apps on physical devices and endpoints.
Provide transparent progress updates to stakeholders while keeping processes lean.
