Emerging Blue, Inc. in New York City is seeking a hands-on Technical Designer to lead the technical development of women’s activewear from sample to production.

You will work with Design, Production, Product Development, and overseas factories to ensure fit, construction, and quality, managing multiple styles in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in Technical Design for women's apparel, strong knowledge of stretch fabrics, and proficiency in Illustrator and PLM.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of Technical Design experience in women's apparel.
• Experience with activewear, athleisure, performance, stretch, or knit apparel.
• Strong understanding of fit, construction, patternmaking, grading, and measurements.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• PLM experience preferred; ability to communicate with overseas factories.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain detailed tech packs and spec sheets.
• Conduct fit sessions and evaluate fit, balance, proportion, and construction.
• Measure samples and provide fit comments and corrections.
• Translate design concepts into production-ready garments with Design.
• Communicate with overseas factories on technical issues.
• Troubleshoot garment construction and production issues.
• Ensure consistency of fit, grading, and sizing across styles.
• Track development timelines and follow up on outstanding items.
• Maintain specifications, fit history, and approvals.
• Provide technical guidance to Design and Product Development.
• Make CAD updates in Adobe Illustrator as needed.
