Job summary

EmployBridge is seeking a hands-on Systems Engineering Lead in the United States to mentor a four-person team while remaining deeply technical. You will design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across Windows, VMware, Azure, and AWS, balancing leadership with day-to-day engineering execution.

This player-coach role requires collaboration with Security, DevOps, Help Desk, and other groups, driving modernization projects and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on Systems Engineering experience.
• 3+ years technical team leadership experience.
• Experience with enterprise Windows environments and cloud infrastructures.
• AWS experience and server administration expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a four-engineer team with clear priorities.
• Provide coaching, accountability, and goal setting for productivity.
• Design, install, monitor, and support Windows, VMware, AWS, and Azure infrastructure.
• Maintain on-premises and cloud environments and support cloud projects.
• Troubleshoot servers, software, and enterprise platforms across teams.
• Drive infrastructure modernization and major initiatives.
• Maintain documentation and operational standards.
• Collaborate with Security, DevOps, Help Desk, and other teams.
• Engage with third-party vendors for support and project execution.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex issues.
• Participate in daily operations, planning, and on-call duties.
