Job summary

SiFly Aviation in Santa Clara, CA, seeks an experienced SQA Lead to anchor quality across the software stack and grow quality engineering as we scale toward production flight. This is a hands-on, senior role where you define release criteria, build automation, and mentor a small QA team across Turkey and Santa Clara.

You will own the QA strategy end-to-end, implement regression suites, SITL/HITL testing, and a robust CI workflow so every change ships with confidence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
• Senior QA/test engineering experience with automated test systems, CI pipelines, or QA infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define release-ready criteria and gates; ensure quality is a measurable part of the workflow.
• Build automated regression suites for flight software, autonomy features, telemetry, and operator workflows.
• Own SITL/HITL test workflow and scenario tests for takeoff, mission execution, and edge cases.
• Stand up test infrastructure and CI integration; enable local and remote test execution.
• Validate multi-link connectivity (5G, Wi‑Fi) and OTA updates; test cloud/backend integration.
• Capture logs, MAVLink telemetry, and video; reproduce bugs as automated tests.
• Lead and mentor QA engineers across Turkey and Santa Clara; set standards and practices.
• Collaborate with flight software, embedded platform, autonomy, perception, and applications teams.
