Job summary

zerohash is seeking a Senior Settlement & Trading Operations Engineer to own daily crypto and fiat settlement and the end‑to‑end trading operations. You’ll resolve complex breaks, mentor peers, and coordinate across Product and Engineering to keep the system running smoothly.

You’ll write Python and SQL, perform reconciliations, and help scale our operational routines with runbooks and dashboards. A strong background in financial operations and back‑office tech is essential.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in financial operations or back‑office tech, mentoring or leading others a plus.
• Strong Python: write, debug, and maintain scripts.
• Strong SQL: multi‑table joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions.

Responsibilities

• Own daily settlement and trading operations end‑to‑end for crypto and fiat movements.
• Run reconciliations across ledgers, bank statements, and partner files.
• Manage the trade lifecycle from execution to settlement; handle exceptions safely.
• Write SQL against production tables and capture learnings in runbooks to improve readiness.
• Automate repetitive tasks with Python to speed up reconciliations and liquidations.
• Support go‑lives and asset listings; perform go‑live validation with partners.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering; contribute to operational dashboards and health metrics.
• Act as technical point of contact for institutional partners and participate in on‑call rotation.
