US Waffle in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a hands-on Sanitation Supervisor to lead the sanitation team across shifts and ensure clean, safe startup of production lines.

You will develop and own SSOPs, manage the Master Sanitation Schedule, and collaborate with FSQA, Maintenance, and Production to drive continuous improvement in hygiene and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership and on-floor participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Operations, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of sanitation experience in food manufacturing with demonstrated leadership of sanitation employees or teams preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills strongly preferred.
• Hands-on sanitation leadership with time on the floor, not desk-based.
• Experience developing, implementing, training, and improving SSOPs and ensuring MSS execution.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, allergen controls, chemical handling, ATP verification, environmental monitoring, LOTO, and pre-operational inspection requirements.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to use sanitation records, checklists, electronic systems, and performance reporting tools.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands-on leadership for Sanitation employees during assigned shifts.
• Spend the majority of the shift on the sanitation floor supervising and assisting.
• Develop, document, implement, and improve SSOPs for equipment and areas.
• Ensure SSOPs include disassembly, cleaning steps, chemicals, temperatures, and safety.
• Own daily MSS execution; assign, complete, document, verify, and escalate tasks.
• Train and coach Sanitation Leads on SSOPs, safety, and proper sanitation tools.
• Partner with FSQA to meet sanitation verification requirements and corrective actions.
• Investigate sanitation failures and start-up delays; identify root causes and implement actions.
• Coordinate with Production and Maintenance for disassembly, access, repair, and startup timelines.
• Establish standard work, shift assignments, cleaning sequences, and labor plans.
