Job summary

US Waffle Company, Inc. in Hazelwood, MO, seeks an experienced FSQA Manager to lead the Food Safety & Quality Assurance program at the Hazelwood facility. You will oversee HACCP, GMP and SQF compliance, driving continuous improvement and staff development.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong floor presence, rapid decision making, and collaboration with Plant Management to ensure product safety and quality across operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience, including proven leadership experience.
• University degree in food sciences, microbiology, chemistry or related field.
• Strong communication, facilitation and leadership skills.
• Experience with Health & Safety Programs; Lean Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Food Safety & Quality Assurance process within the plant, overseeing HACCP/FSEP/GMP programs.
• Coordinate quality initiatives with senior management to ensure food safety compliance.
• Lead internal audits and corrective/preventive actions for continuous improvement.
• Develop and deliver training programs for QA staff and functions.
• Review specifications and processes to meet SQF and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare audit documentation and participate in customer and third‑party audits.
