Job summary

John H Carter / ControlWorx is seeking an on-site EHS professional to provide hands-on safety support at facilities and customer sites. The role involves safety inspections, coaching employees, and assisting with corrective actions to maintain compliance with OSHA and client standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or better and a minimum of 2 years in an industrial EHS role. Regular attendance and willingness to travel to project sites are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on safety support at company facilities and customer locations and may be temporarily assigned to projects, shutdowns, turnarounds, and high-risk activities requiring additional safety support.
• Conducts routine safety inspections, observations, and walkthroughs; documents findings, coaches employees, and assists with tracking corrective actions through completion.
• Supports compliance with company policies, customer requirements, OSHA regulations, and other applicable standards by reviewing work activities and required safety documentation, including JSAs, permits, and inspections.
• Participates in pre-job meetings, toolbox talks, and jobsite safety meetings and provides employees and supervision with guidance on safety requirements and safe work practices.
• Assists the Safety Department with the implementation and maintenance of facility safety programs, Customer Site Safety Execution Plans, field-specific procedures, internal and external audits, and other safety initiatives.
• Assists the Safety Department with incident and near-miss intake, investigations, case management, reporting, root cause analysis, corrective actions.
• Promotes a positive safety culture by demonstrating safe behavior, professionally addressing unsafe conditions or actions, supporting employees at all levels of the organization, and collaborating with management, employees, and customers to improve safety performance.
• Duties and Responsibilities can change from time to time based on business needs, customer demands or other industry or job-related circumstances
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position
