Job summary

John H. Carter Company is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety professional to provide hands-on safety support at facilities and customer locations. You will conduct inspections, coach employees, assist with corrective actions, participate in pre-job meetings, and help implement safety programs and OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial EHS role.
• Manufacturing or petrochemical facility experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on safety support at company facilities and customer locations.
• Conducts routine safety inspections, observations and walkthroughs; documents findings and coaches employees.
• Supports compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety standards through review of JSAs, permits, and inspections.
• Participates in pre-job meetings, toolbox talks, and jobsite safety meetings; guides on safety requirements and safe work practices.
• Assists in implementing and maintaining facility safety programs and site safety execution plans.
• Assists with incident and near-miss intake, investigations, reporting, and corrective actions.
• Promotes a positive safety culture by addressing unsafe conditions and collaborating with management and staff.
