Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of related industry experience or a bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM field.
• Hold or be eligible for West Virginia teaching certification appropriate for the assignment.
• Hold CPT certification or be eligible to obtain CPT certification as required for the position.
• Demonstrated knowledge of STEM instruction, career and technical education, and project-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction in robotics, automation, engineering design, programming, and related concepts.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with CTE and STEM standards.
• Provide hands-on lab instruction using robotics platforms and fabrication tools.
• Teach programming languages and PLC programming relevant to robotics and automation.
• Maintain equipment, monitor inventory, and ensure safe working conditions.
• Assess student progress with timely feedback and performance tasks.
• Integrate design process and project-based learning with real-world applications.
• Collaborate with industry, colleges, and workforce partners for career awareness.
• Maintain certifications and instructional documentation per policy.
• Support students in career exploration and credential preparation.
