Job summary

Wake Technical Community College is seeking an instructor to provide effective instruction for Electronics Engineering Technology and related automation and robotics programs in the Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics Center. The role involves planning, delivering hands-on labs, and collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure current, industry-aligned curriculum.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least two years of industry or teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, STEM Ed., Automation/Robotics Tech, or related field.
• Two years of industry, post-secondary teaching, or technical training experience.
• Possess SACA Gold and Silver certifications OR earn them by offer date.
• MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and guides class in an efficient and effective manner.
• Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance.
• Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour.
• Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment.
• Grades and returns student work in a timely manner.
• Counsels students regarding grades and progress.
• Maintains knowledge of industry standards, certifications, and technologies.
• Collaborates with Facilities and other departments to support equipment and program needs.
