Job summary

Housing Trust Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is a full-time, hourly position with benefits and PTO, reporting to the Property Manager and supervising maintenance staff to keep the community in top condition.

The role covers preventive maintenance, repairs, safety compliance, budgeting, vendor management, and ensuring facilities meet company standards. A High School diploma and 4+ years in maintenance are required, with HVAC/EPA certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 4 years industry experience.
• Ability to supervise staff.
• Proficiency in apartment maintenance including plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, floors, carpentry, locks, appliances, pools & spas, roofs, and life safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of maintenance for the community as directed by Property Manager.
• Supervise staff with training, motivation, and performance feedback.
• Direct scheduling of maintenance personnel and vendors; ensure adherence to policies.
• Track inventory for repairs and maintenance.
• Responsible for turnover processes.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems; report safety hazards.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety).
• Ensure safety policy knowledge and PPE compliance.
• Operate within property budgetary guidelines.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Supervise Maintenance Technician per job description.
