Job summary

Helix Electric is seeking a Project Engineer Intern for Fall 27 to support project managers on diverse electrical construction projects. The role acts as the liaison between field and office, helping define objectives and manage tasks within schedule and budget.

You will gain hands-on experience through a mentor-driven program and exposure to various project types and teams. You will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors, track materials with superintendents,

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program such as Construction Management or Engineering.
• Previous construction or internship experience preferred.
• Highly motivated with a tendency to take initiative.
• Basic math skills with ability to calculate and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager on projects and act as liaison between field and office.
• Define project objectives by planning, executing, and finalizing per schedule and budget.
• Develop relationships with PMs, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors.
• Collaborate with superintendents to track material and coordinate close-out.
• Support safety culture and monitor jobsite safety.
• Produce and maintain detailed job logs and assist with procurement and planning.
