Senneca Holdings is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for its Frederick, MD facility to oversee daily operations and personnel, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met. The role requires hands-on leadership, accountability, and a drive for continuous improvement on a fast-paced production floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, operations, or technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong working knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, safety standards and quality systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); ERP or production tracking systems a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and reporting.
• Proven ability to prioritize, problem-solve and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and achieving department goals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all employees and production activities within assigned area.
• Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations, policies, and procedures; promote a safety-first culture by modeling safe behaviors and holding team members accountable to safety expectations.
• Maintain working knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, and quality requirements.
• Ensure established production goals are met while maintaining safety, quality and efficiency standards.
• Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance; provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
• Complete daily production reports and ensure operational data is accurately recorded and communicated.
• Partner with internal teams (quality, maintenance, engineering, planning) to ensure smooth flow of work, material availability, and issue resolution.
• Provide on-the-job training and cross-training to build skill depth and bench strength within the team.
• Proactively identify and eliminate bottlenecks or inefficiencies; implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure production paperwork is accurate and aligned with customer requirements.
• Participate in quality audits and lead corrective action efforts when deviations are identified.
• Promote housekeeping standards and ensure work areas are clean, organized and safe.
• Support compliance with company policies and procedures at all times.
• Serve as a leader and resource on the floor by maintaining visibility, approachability and consistent communication.
• Maintain flexibility to support production needs across multiple lines or shifts as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned
