Job summary

AISIN North Carolina is seeking a Production Engineer for the Steel Machining Group to support manufacturing by maintaining the machining process on the shop floor. The role involves troubleshooting, implementing process improvements, and coordinating equipment installations to ensure quality production.

Responsibilities include line support, budget planning for tooling, kaizen activities, and documentation of changes.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field
Experience with PFMEA and root cause analysis
Familiarity with robotics and AutoCAD
Strong knowledge of machining equipment (CNC lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)

Responsibilities

Plan and install machinery and equipment for new or retooled product lines.
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues on the manufacturing floor.
Implement design and process changes to increase equipment and manufacturing efficiency.
Root cause analysis and countermeasure of quality issues.
Continuous improvement of quality and cost through machine, jig, and process improvements.
Design, specify and implement these improvements.
Line support to repair/improve machines.
Ensure new equipment is properly installed and ready for quality production.
Budget development for investments and tooling for new programs.
Create documentation for changes to processes and equipment.
Implement kaizens to improve manufacturing metrics.
