Job summary

AISIN North Carolina in Durham, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly to support automated assembly lines on the shop floor, troubleshooting issues and delivering engineering solutions that improve daily operations.

You will plan and install new equipment, lead process changes, perform root-cause analysis, and pursue kaizen initiatives to raise availability and reduce labor. This is a hands-on role requiring strong teamwork and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of automated machinery and assembly processes.
• Experience with PFMEAs, statistics, and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with robotics and AutoCAD.
• Excellent troubleshooting and multi‑tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and install machinery and equipment for new or retooled product lines.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues on the manufacturing floor.
• Implement design and process changes to improve efficiency.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement countermeasures for quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement of quality and cost through machine, jig, and process improvements.
• Design, specify and implement improvements.
• Provide line support to repair or improve machines.
• Ensure new equipment is installed and ready for quality production.
• Develop accurate planning and budgeting for investments and tooling for new programs.
• Create documentation for process and equipment changes.
• Implement kaizens to improve manufacturing metrics, including Availability and Labor Reductions.
