Job summary

Interon IT Solutions is seeking an experienced Product Manager specializing in Workday HCM for a BAU-focused role in the DC Metro Area. You will own the HCM backlog, translate stakeholder needs into requirements, and advance Agile practices within the engineering team.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in product management, strong Workday HCM experience, and deep HR lifecycle knowledge, with a hands-on approach to backlog and day-to-day product ownership.

Qualifications

• Strong Product Management experience, ideally supporting enterprise applications or platforms.
• Hands-on Workday HCM experience.
• Strong understanding of the HR lifecycle and HCM business processes.
• Experience across Talent Management, Compensation, Recruiting, Learning & Development, and People Operations.
• Strong Agile experience, particularly backlog management/grooming, user stories, prioritization, and capacity planning.
• Ability to manage both ongoing BAU enhancements and a defined project/workstream.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and requirements-gathering skills.
• Ability to challenge, clarify, and guide business partners toward well-defined requirements.
• Comfortable working closely with engineering teams and bringing structure to a relatively new product management function.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the HCM product backlog and groom work for the engineering team.
• Create clear user stories and requirements with acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to uncover and clarify new requirements.
• Guide conversations around current-state and desired future state of processes.
• Establish and mature product management processes across the lifecycle.
• Support BAU enhancements across the HCM environment.
• Manage a funded initiative within Talent Management with timelines and delivery coordination.
• Assist the team with Agile practices including backlog grooming and capacity planning.
