Job summary

Tential Solutions is seeking a seasoned Product Manager to join our HCM Product team focused on Workday HCM. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle from discovery to delivery, partnering with stakeholders, UX, and engineering to craft a compelling product vision and roadmap.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in product management within large enterprise environments, with strong Agile backlog management and stakeholder skills. Workday HCM experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

We are seeking a seasoned Product Manager to join our HCM Product team in support of strategic enterprise initiatives centered around Workday HCM. This role will own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through delivery and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will partner closely with business stakeholders, UX, and engineering teams to define product vision, drive roadmap execution, and ensure successful delivery of high-impact solutions. This position requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, Agile product ownership, stakeholder management, and hands-on backlog management. The team recently completed an Agile transformation, making prior experience driving Agile best practices particularly valuable.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for one or more products, from discovery through delivery and iteration.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define priorities, and translate business needs into technical requirements for engineering teams.
• Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with Engineering and UX teams to deliver user-centered solutions that solve critical business challenges.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, including epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, milestones, and release planning.
• Facilitate design discussions and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams.
• Guide teams through Agile development processes and help promote Agile best practices.
• Drive continuous product improvement through user feedback, research, testing, and business insights.
• Develop business cases and contribute to product planning and budgeting activities.
• Communicate project status, risks, priorities, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
• Exercise sound judgment to proactively manage competing priorities and ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
• Maintain high-quality documentation including requirements, workflows, use cases, process documentation, and product artifacts.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably within large enterprise or complex business environments.
• Experience with HR technology solutions required; Workday HCM experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead requirements gathering sessions and partner effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, backlog management, sprint planning, and product delivery practices.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, workflows, and process documentation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting to leadership teams.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and build strong cross-functional relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and high-visibility initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience working closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable technology solutions.
• Proven track record of driving product outcomes, managing competing priorities, and delivering measurable business value.
