Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Process Engineer to join our manufacturing facility outside Chicago. This hands-on role supports plant operations by troubleshooting processes, analyzing performance, and driving improvements to quality, efficiency, and reliability.

With a BSCE and 1+ year in batch/continuous manufacturing, you’ll work with P&IDs and process diagrams, collaborating with production teams to deliver measurable performance gains while staying close to the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (BSCE) required.
• Minimum 1 year of professional engineering experience in batch/continuous/liquid-process manufacturing.
• Experience with P&IDs and process flow diagrams in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret data and identify root causes.
• Working knowledge of statistics and data-analysis tools.
• Hands-on technical aptitude to work directly on the plant floor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and report key process parameters.
• Read and interpret P&IDs and process flow diagrams for troubleshooting and modifications.
• Audit processes, equipment operation, and SOP compliance.
• Identify trends and deviations; propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement improvements and boost plant performance.
