Tandem PV, Inc. is seeking a hands‑on Process & Quality Engineering Technician to support our pilot manufacturing line, data analysis, and quality control activities at our Fremont facility.

The role blends hardware and software work with a focus on instrumentation, process monitoring, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or equivalent hands‑on experience, plus comfort with sensors, data collection, and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent hands‑on technical experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, or other technical environment.
• Hands‑on aptitude for installing, configuring, maintaining, or troubleshooting technical equipment, sensors, or instrumentation.
• Ability to interpret technical data, recognize abnormalities, and approach problems using logical troubleshooting methods.
• Comfortable using computers, technical software, spreadsheets, and digital tools to analyze information and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Pilot Line Instrumentation & Process Monitoring: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot sensors and monitoring equipment on the pilot manufacturing line.
• Data Analysis & Technical Troubleshooting: Review process data for accuracy and prepare hypotheses for further evaluation.
• Technical Systems & Software Support: Set up, configure, and maintain software and systems used in engineering and manufacturing operations.
• Quality Control & Incoming Inspection: Support inspection of glass and other materials and analyze quality metrics.
• Metrology & Continuous Improvement: Maintain documentation and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
