Job summary

Bloom Energy in Fremont, CA is hiring a Process Technician for the day shift (6am–6pm, Thu–Sat with alternating Wed). You’ll support multiple process engineering activities, respond to line-down events, identify root causes, adjust parameters, and document actions to resume production.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 4+ years in manufacturing, hands-on thin-film process experience, and the ability to operate and troubleshoot high-precision machinery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant coursework preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or related environment.
• Hands-on experience in thin-film processes.
• Hands-on experience with operating and troubleshooting of high precision machinery.
• Ability to follow direction, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written skill set.

Responsibilities

• Provide off-shift coverage (evenings and/or weekends) of all process engineering activities across multiple functional areas for fuel cell manufacturing.
• Respond promptly to production line down scenarios, such as measurements out of spec, defects observed at automated visual inspection or manual visual inspection, defects on incoming parts, etc.
• Assess the situation, determine root cause, and adjust parameters to return process under control and resume volume production. Document activities appropriately.
• Understand and react to abnormal events and coordinate containment and countermeasure activities in a cross functional environment
• Communicate clearly to co-workers and send out daily reports to team
