Job summary

Watco is hiring a Terminal Operator at our Fryburg Rail Terminal in North Dakota. This hands-on outdoor role involves loading crude oil and other liquids into railcars, operating pumps, inspecting car integrity, and completing basic paperwork. Paid on-the-job training is provided, with safety and Watco operating principles guiding every task.

No prior rail experience is required; strong teamwork and dependability are valued, plus a 7-on/7-off schedule and long shifts in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and communicate in English and understand basic math.
• Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
• Ability to work outside most of the time and withstand extreme weather.
• Must be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules.

Responsibilities

• Transloading of Oils and Liquids, primarily crude oil.
• Prepare equipment for product transfer and operate pumps within defined parameters.
• Read and complete applicable documentation, recordkeeping and daily inventory.
• Inspect railcars, seal and perform safety checks using a checklist.
• Climb onto top and underneath railcars to inspect and seal as required.
• Maintain safety and environmental standards during all tasks.
