The University of Kansas Lawrence Campus IT Enterprise Networking team seeks a student employee to assist with day-to-day network operations while gaining hands-on experience supporting a large enterprise network. You will work alongside network engineering staff, aiding with equipment staging, ticket triage, basic troubleshooting, and documenting activities.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in information technology, networking, or related fields and a basic knowledge of networking

Formación

• Demonstrated interest in information technology, networking, or related technical fields.
• Basic knowledge of computer networking concepts, hardware, or troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and documentation skills as evidenced by application materials.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with Network Equipment & Staging Support: staging, organizing, labeling, inventorying, and preparing network equipment for deployment; maintain organized inventory.
• Ticket Triage & Basic Troubleshooting: review service requests, gather information, perform basic troubleshooting, document results, escalate as needed.
• Documentation: assist with creating and maintaining network documentation, procedures, equipment records, and other technical information.
• Network Operations & Project Support: assist staff with operational tasks, projects, and other duties as assigned.
