Job summary

United Rentals in Texas is seeking a Fleet Technician I to maintain and repair Mobile Storage equipment, from containers to office trailers. You''ll perform safety-focused tasks, document work orders, and assist CDL drivers when needed, while traveling to customer sites as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active state driver''s license required.
• Maintenance experience is a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Construction knowledge and background.
• Strong teamwork and customer service.
• Good time management.
• Ability to utilize information technology.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers'' warranty process.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.
• Safety Sensitive position per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on Mobile Storage equipment.
• Inspect and replace components (flooring, doors, leaks, tires, decals, etc.).
• Hook mobile office to power sources.
• Complete work orders on time and within budget.
• Document all work orders and inspections.
• Travel to customer sites to set up office trailers.
• Operate forklifts safely.
• Keep shop, yard, tools and supplies organized per 5S guidelines.
