Job summary

Henrico County Public Schools is seeking a dedicated educator to teach Mechatronics and Industrial Robotics at the Advanced Career Ed Ctr at Highland Springs. The instructor will integrate mechanical, electrical, fluid power, and software systems to provide hands-on lab instruction, including programming controllers and operating actuators.

Emphasis on safety, industry certifications, and alignment with VDOE competencies.

Qualifications

• Endorsement in Technology Education or eligible for a provisional teaching license.
• Bachelor's degree required with Praxis in Technology & Engineering Education.
• CDL license preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Plans, delivers, and assesses instruction using a competency-based education model.
• Maintains safety standards and integrates them into instruction.
• Supports internships and apprenticeships with local employers.
• Develops formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning.
• Coordinates instruction with other staff and maintains student records.
