Job summary

IMEG Corp. is offering a 10-12 week Mechanical Engineering Intern program in Rock Island, IL. The internship provides hands-on experience in engineering analysis, design oversight, and coordination across disciplines within healthcare and MEP projects.

You will work with experienced engineers, participate in site observations, and support project documentation. The program emphasizes collaboration within an ESOP-owned firm, with opportunities for mentorship, real project work, and potential

Qualifications

Completed at least 2 years toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.

Responsibilities

Assist with engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems for the vertical building industry.
Assist with design portions of projects according to code and IMEG standards.
Support projects within budget while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Assist with researching resources for commercially available equipment.
Document design decisions and meetings promptly for permanent records.
Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, etc.).
Conduct periodic job site observations and assist with addendum information.
