Job summary

Cindavi is seeking a driven Mechanical Engineer to own complex capital projects and pressure systems at a 500-person specialty chemical facility. Based in Batesville, Arkansas, this field-oriented role partners with electrical, process controls, maintenance, and operations teams to improve mechanical integrity and safety on live manufacturing and utility systems.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) and proven experience in manufacturing environments;

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial environments.
• Hands-on, field-oriented problem solving preferred over pure CAD drafting.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate with stakeholders.
• Commitment to process safety and mechanical integrity.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical assistance, process improvements, and capital project implementation across our manufacturing, utilities, and maintenance operations.
• Manage our pressure-vessel program, including relief devices, vents, and rupture disks.
• Size, specify, and troubleshoot industrial equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, centrifuges, and complex piping systems.
• Collaborate daily on the plant floor to identify root causes of mechanical problems and implement safe, reliable solutions.
• Apply process economics to evaluate project value and ensure design criteria meet safety and quality standards.
